The Department of Risk Management and Insurance, School of Finance, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, was founded in 1992. The major of insurance was incorporated into the major of Finance in 1999 and resumed construction in June 2003.In 2004, the former Department of Insurance was approved by relevant departments at higher levels and resumed enrollment in 2005. In 2010, it obtained professional master's degree. In January 2014, the Department of Insurance was renamed the Department of Risk Management and Insurance. At present, there are 8 full-time teaching staff in the Department of Risk Management and Insurance, including 2 professors, 1 associate professor, 5 lecturers and 4 tutors for master's degree students.Among them, there are 5 doctoral students, all teachers have master's degree or above, and 3 teachers with overseas study background.The Department of Risk Management and Insurance undertakes the teaching and scientific research of insurance majors at graduate, undergraduate, correspondence and adult levels.
